ASU Herberger Institute Season 2019-20 (text)

From student design and art exhibitions to the first U.S. solo museum show by Colombian-born, Paris-based artist Iván Argote, from the visiting Brentano String Quartet residency to the theatre production “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” ASU’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts offers a rich selection of events — many of which are free.

Herberger Institute’s extraordinary alums go on to make their mark in the world at places like Google, Disney and the Whitney Biennial. During the semester, our award-winning students and faculty share their designs and artwork in our multiple exhibition spaces, including the Step Gallery at Grant Street Studios in downtown Phoenix. Visiting designers, artists, musicians and performers regularly offer free lectures and workshops, and the world-renowned ASU Art Museum features outstanding contemporary art exhibitions as well as free events and talks.
