Arizona State University is partnering with the city of Mesa to help produce a thriving cultural economy in downtown Mesa once again. The groundbreaking ASU at Mesa City Center complex will add an important piece to the revitalization of the downtown area in Mesa and train the next generation of professionals for Arizona’s creative and technology sectors.

Building new futures with creative technologies

Creating an immersive media hub

The world-class media production site will host hundreds of students who will be making films, video games, and other immersive media experiences of all kinds.

Coming in 2022, this new, 118,000 sq. ft. building will house arts, design and technology programs. ASU at Mesa City Center will be one of the first media production facilities of its type that is designed to be fully embedded in the community – a hive of cultural exchange, education and public programming and events.
