ReMix the Future immersive design jam is back for 2026! Join us.

Powered by the Public Interest Technology University Network (PIT-UN), Tech for Change: ReMix the Future is a four-day spatial storytelling challenge for civic impact hosted at the Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center and The Studios within the ASU Mesa Center for Creative Technology.

Artists, technologists, students, community members and creators of all kinds are invited to come together to design bold responses to real-world issues in sustainability and public health shaping the future of Mesa and the world—from air quality and water access, to food systems and climate justice.

At Tech for Change: ReMix the Future in 2025, the journey began by choosing a track—a creative launchpad that shaped how participants collaborated, what tools to use and where teams worked during the event. From immersive storytelling to game design to startup ideation, each track offered a unique hands-on experience.

Once in one of our four tracks, teams took on one of two challenge themes—using the tools and methods of your track to design meaningful, public-impact solutions for our communities.
