Sydney Lines holds undergraduate degrees in English Literature and Museum Studies, and an MA in English Literature. She currently works at ASU as the Project Coordinator for Sustainability Connect and the Food Systems Transformation Initiative. She is a multifaceted creative thinker with a love of big ideas and an insatiable curiosity about the world. Sydney has over ten years’ experience in marketing and communications, event planning, and project coordination, six of which were spent working in various capacities at ASU. With her second MA in Creative Enterprise and Cultural Leadership, she is working to reimagine the future of museums as community catalysts for social change and cultural cohesion.
What is something you’ve learned in the Mike Curb MA in Creative Enterprise and Cultural Leadership program that will shape your future work?
I have learned how many possibilities exist for creative work and the importance of highlighting process as much as outcomes and deliverables. I have been made much more aware of how important it is to illuminate the work that happens “behind the curtain” in determining a project’s success and impacts.
