Biography

Megan Workmon Larsen is a researcher, student affairs practitioner, musician, and artist. Megan is interested in how arts and design students engage in community building, use inspiration as a way to find motivation, learn how to navigate failure and embrace risk, and collaborate across disciplines to create positive change. Megan is currently at the Arizona State University Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts where she oversees student engagement initiatives and instructs interdisciplinary courses centered around arts-based approaches for transformational learning. Her research areas of interest incorporate aspects of risk, fear, failure, creativity, student engagement, higher education, positive psychology, design thinking, sustainability, and persistence/resiliency.
