Workshop with Cog•nate Collective

The title of this workshop is "A Play on Words: A Workshop on (Re)Articulating Borders."

This workshop focuses on our understanding of borders through body, language and discourse. Structured as a pair of performative and discursive exercises, this workshop will serve as an opportunity for those in attendance to collaborate in honing terms and concepts that inform their practices.

In preparation for the workshop, we would like to ask participants to be ready to share words/phrases corresponding to concepts that currently inform their work — terms they are working to define more effectively.

Wear loose clothing and comfortable shoes.

The workshop will be facilitated by Cog•nate Collective, a binational collective of artists and researchers interested in constructing platforms for critical pedagogy and exchange in collaboration with communities along the U.S./Mexico border.
