Postponed: Godspell 2012 Presented by Music Theatre and Opera Student Organization
This event has been rescheduled to March 18-20, 2022.
A joyous celebration of community, Godspell follows a group of people as they help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from country line-dance to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus' life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus' messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life.
Conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak; music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz; originally produced on the New York Stage by Edgar Lansbury/Stewart Duncan/Joseph Beruh; stage direction by Wesley Bradstreet (‘22); music direction by Mario Yniguez (‘23).
This performance is suitable for audiences ages 12 and up.
