Paulo Steinberg, Piano
Jan. 25, 7:30 p.m.

Join guest artist Paulo Steinberg for a lecture-recital featuring piano music from his native Brazil.
Brazilian music is often associated with carnival and samba, performed at lively, energetic tempi with vibrant rhythms. Melancholy and nostalgia also play a big role in the music of Brazil. Together, the music illustrates the interesting contrast of melancholy versus excitement in the Brazilian culture.
Steinberg, is an alumnus of the Arizona State University School of Music and is currently associate professor of piano at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia. He has presented this concert in over a dozen countries around the world.
