Museum of Walking Annex

May 3 2017 - 11:00am

"Museum of Walking Annex" features selections from ASU Art Museum’s collection of historic and contemporary artworks, which provide a broader social, cultural and political context for walking. On Saturday, March 18, Ellsworth, who is a co-founder of the Museum of Walking and associate professor in the School of Art, will lead a silent walk for 1,000 participants at the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area in Phoenix. For more information on theWALK, visit museumofwalking.org.

"Museum of Walking Annex" is part of ASU Art Museum’s Spotlight series, bringing attention to innovative projects in the arts and design by ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts faculty and students. It is also part of projectWALK, a collaboration between the Museum of Walking, ASU Art Museum and additional campus and community partners, which investigates the everyday activity of walking in one of the least walkable cities in the United States.

Supported by the Evelyn Smith Exhibition Fund.
