Estephania González: Nāntli Cemanāhuatl

Exhibition runs Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 14 to 23.

"Nāntli Cemanāhuatl" is a MFA thesis exhibition by artist Estephania González. Combining sculpture and video, González takes inspiration from cosmology narratives found in ancient Mexica (Aztec) culture, contemporary Chilean indigenous culture and physics to develop her own cosmological narrative. González’s installation uses performance, video and animation to explore the connection between body, land and the cosmic universe. She focuses on the concept of the journey to explore the relationship between the personal, political and universal identity of herself to connect to others.
