Doctoral Student Recital: Julia Broome-Robinson, Trombone

Julia Broome-Robinson presents a solo trombone recital featuring works for unaccompanied trombone and trombone with tape. Including a performance of "Im Silberwald" by Yehuda Yannay — a long-form, meditative soundscape for trombone, recorded glass harmonica and fixed electronics that, in the composer's words, "is a meditation on the dying forest, its magical aura and disturbing beauty." This recital is in partial fulfillment of the Doctor of Musical Arts in music degree requirements.
Student degree recitals are subject to cancellation. Before making a special trip, please check the School of Music event hotline, 480-965-8863 for up-to-date information.
