Abstract: Digital cultures and technologies propose a sort of radical inter- or trans-disciplinarity that can be seen as supporting certain contemporary requirements for social accountability and innovative processes of knowledge production. This talk will consider the notions of disciplinarity and the social that underpin this viewpoint, and explore the social and technological consequences of sound, understood as the identification of sites of action, interaction and intention.
