Estrella Esquilin is the Program Manager for the National Accelerator Program for Cultural Innovation. In her role, she works to create the conditions for culture workers to be considered assets in building resilient and equitable communities. She manages the operations and sustainability of innovation work of the National Accelerator as it relates across Herberger schools and the Art Museum. She also works to develop and establish relationships between ASU programs and staff with local and national non-profit organizations and businesses. She has over a decade of experience doing creative and collaborative community engagement with private and public non-profit organizations and recently worked at the city of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture (POAC) as the Communications and Community Engagement Manager.

She has a heart for working with artists and students of color to find inspiration for their artistic practice, civic engagement, and professional development. Estrella is also a practicing visual artist with research interests in city planning, place-centering experiences, and investigating how people navigate the built environment.
