Biography

With Synthesis at ASU, I develop steerable, responsive simulations of complex systems using whole-body interaction and manipulation of tangible objects and architecture for collaborative research and sense-making. Prior to returning to ASU, I developed tools for studying spatial synchrony in complex food webs and computational models of parasitism in the Reuman Lab at the Kansas Biological Survey, and I developed machine listening software for large-scale analysis of acoustic environments at the Centre for Digital Music at Queen Mary, University of London and the School of Arts, Media and Engineering at ASU.
