The School of Art in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University invites applications for multiple part-time Faculty Associate positions for the Spring 2021 semester.
The successful candidate(s) will teach in-person or online courses, prepare course materials, evaluate student work, and assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed .40 FTE. The number of courses is contingent upon needs, funding and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load. Individuals employed as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple, non-benefits eligible appointments at Arizona State University.

About the School of Art:
Located in one of the most expansive metropolitan centers in the United States, and situated in the Sonoran Desert, the school supports a broad range of art practice and inquiry. Programs within the School of Art lead to the degrees of Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art with concentrations in art history, art studies, museum studies, fashion; an online BA in art history; Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art with concentrations in art education, drawing/painting, ceramics, fibers, intermedia, photography, printmaking, sculpture/metals/woods; Master of Arts (MA) in Art with concentrations in art history or art education; and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Art. In addition, the school participates in the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs in Design, Environment and the Arts housed within the Herberger Institute.
