Brief job description: 

The School of Art in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University is seeking a Academic Facilities Specialist to support the facilities functions related to the academic unit, specifically the ceramics program (MFA and BFA) to ensure adherence with college and university policies, practices and regulations. These functions include managing the ceramics facilities (Tempe and Phoenix), including but are not limited to overseeing the day-to-day operations, as well as other specialized tasks as designated by the unit administrator. The Academic Facilities Specialist reports to the Director. 

The School of Art has five buildings, over 2000 undergraduates, 70 full-time faculty and 13 office and tech staff. Undergraduate degree programs in the School of Art include of Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art with concentrations in art history, art studies, museum studies, fashion; an online BA in art history, museum studies, and art studies; Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art with concentrations in art education, drawing and painting, ceramics, intermedia, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and textiles. With several nationally ranked programs it is one of the largest comprehensive art programs in a public research university in the United States. The ASU School of Art plays a prominent role within the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts and is located on both the Tempe and downtown Phoenix campuses.
