Applying
Thank you for your interest in applying to the ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.
Your first step in the application process is to apply to ASU. You may apply to ASU in one of two ways: online or by mail. You are urged to complete this process as soon as possible the year before your proposed entrance. Early application is strongly advised because of enrollment limitations and financial aid deadlines. Please visit the ASU undergraduate admissions Web site for more information on the application procedure and application forms.
You will be asked to indicate your intended major. Students applying to the School of Dance and the School of Music also will be asked to indicate your second choice major due to the selectivity of these majors.
Your next step in the application process is to familiarize yourself with any supplemental materials that may be required to apply to your major. Students in the School of Dance, School of Music and theatre disciplines in the School of Theatre and Film must complete an audition, interview or portfolio review for entrance into the major and this generally takes place in your senior year of high school or the semester before you enroll at ASU.
