Benjamin Rogers, a master's in fine arts in painting alumnus from the ASU School of Art was chosen to represent ASU in the MFA annual issue of New American Paintings, one of America's largest and most important series of artists competitions.

Rogers was one of 40 artists selected for publication, which was juried by Alma Ruiz, senior curator, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Rogers' artwork was also selected for the cover of this issue, which is available in bookstores. Rogers graduated in Spring 2011.

Cameron Luft, a master's of fine arts in painting candidate in the ASU School of Art was chosen to represent ASU in the MFA annual issue of New American Paintings, one of America's largest and most important series of artists competitions. Luft was one of 40 artists selected for publication. Alumnus Benjamin Rogers' work was also selected for the publication. The issue is available in bookstores.

K Brandt Knapp, Alumni, Design

K Brandt Knapp from the School of Art and The Design School in the Herberger Institute of Art has been selected with her colleague, Jerome W. Haferd, as the winners for Folly, an architecture competition.


After graduating from ASU in 2006 with a double major in art and design, Knapp attended Yale University School of Architecture where she recieved her MArch. Knapp and Haferd have collaborated since they met at Yale and their winning proposal, "Curtain" will be realized through the spring. There will be an opening July 14, 2012, at the Socrates Sculpture Park in Queens, New York.
