ASU Photographer
ASU photographer Tom Story takes headshots in his office by appointment at no charge. He also may be available for other ASU-related photo shoots for a fee and based on availability. For more information, call 480.727.6005 or e-mail Tom Story.
Freelance Photographers
If you need non-event-related photos, contact the communications group.
For event-related photos, you may negotiate with the photographer of your choice, or we can suggest these photographers:

Model Release Forms
- Please review the following ASU policy regarding photo usage and model release forms on the ASU Communications Guide: commguide.asu.edu/photography
- Every performer/model must sign and date a model release form at the time of the shoot. (This includes faculty members).
- Ask them to clearly print their first and last names to ensure correct caption spellings.
- Write a description of what the model is wearing at the time of the shoot, e.g., hair color, shirt color, and/or any other details that will make it easy to choose that person from a photo that includes a group of people. Keep these in a file.
Photo + Artwork Release Forms

- Every person who submits an image for publicity/marketing use must sign and date a photo release form before the imagery can be disseminated to the press or used online or in a brochure. (This includes faculty members). Ask them to clearly print their first and last names to ensure correct caption spellings. Keep these in a file.
- If artwork is included in the shot, you must secure the artist's written permission for the piece.
- Depending on how prevalent the artwork is in the shot, you also may need to include the artwork and artist's name in the caption.
