Design Resources

Whether you want to design your own communications and marketing materials or need assistance from qualified staff in the Herberger Institute communications group, consider this site an essential tool. Parts of this section are ASUrite-protected. You will need your ASUrite and password to access these pages. If you are a member of our faculty or staff and are having trouble logging in, please contact Herberger Institute Computer Support at 480.965.6911 or e-mail hidaweb@asu.edu.

General Guidelines

The ASU Herberger Institute logo must be on all marketing materials (including Web pages) that we produce. ASU has specific requirements regarding how the logo appears and is used. The university’s registered trademarks and official colors and fonts of the university comprise the graphic elements used to support the ASU brand. Everything we produce must look like it is from ASU.

Design Review Process

If you design collateral materials without using the Herberger Institute communications group or our provided templates, your design must be reviewed by the communications office before you submit your final draft to the printer. Please allow at least one week for the review of any such material.

Additionally, merchandising such as t-shirts, tote bags, etc. also need approval from the ASU Trademark Licensing office. The approval process for any merchandising for an athletic spirit group such as the Sun Devil Marching Band also must receive approval from the ASU Athletic Department. Please contact the communications office for information on this approval process.

Design Request

If you are requesting assistance from the Herberger Institute communications group, a design request must be submitted before we can start working on a project.

Web Sites

The design team also creates and maintains the institute Web sites. The group does not produce Web pages for personal projects that are not applicable for the institute site.

Photography

Photography resources also are available through ASU Public Affairs or outside agencies.
