Arts, Media + Engineering's Graduate Degrees

The School of Arts, Media and Engineering is a distinct hybridization of arts-media-engineering courses and research assistantships for graduate students exploring theory and practice of arts, media and engineering. The program is co-sponsored by the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts and the Fulton Schools of Engineering.

Arts, Media and Engineering focuses on the study and development of experiential media systems that integrate computation and digital media with the physical-human experience to produce enhanced physical-digital experiences.

Arts, Media and Engineering offers a PhD in Media Arts and Sciences.


In addition, Arts, Media and Engineering concentrations are offered through graduate programs in Herberger Institute core disciplines: Architecture + Landscape Architecture, Art, Dance, Design Innovation, Music, and Theatre and Film, and in partnership with other disciplines at Arizona State University.
