The Design Academy
Welcome to the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts Design Academy – a locus of professional outreach and education.
The Design Academy represents a commitment on the part of Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts to provide continuing professional education opportunities to the professions we serve.
The Academy will provide an environment for design professionals, real estate leaders, government officials, policymakers, and scholars to address emerging issues in the fields of planning and design. It offers an opportunity for mid carrer training for planning, design, and development professionals in a range of implementation-related practices.
Course topics will reflect broad issues ranging from growth strategies to urban planning, from sustainability to environment land-use planning, from public/private land use to regional transportation planning. The workshops and lectures offer an opportunity to share best practices and management strategies with the academic and professional communities and to promote the knowledge base of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.
Continuing Education Credits will be provided for appropriate professions.
