statement

Creative writing students and their poetic selections appear on ASU Tempe campus utility carts as part of the college’s Moving Poems public art project.

One of several on-campus public art projects, it is a collaboration of the ASU Office of Public Art, administered by the Herberger College of Fine Arts, Regents’ Professor Alberto Rios and his creative writing students.

Also last year, the Herberger College Office of Public Art initiated an 18-hour certificate of public art program to prepare students and community members for careers in the management of public art collections.
