Having problems viewing your profile?
Please allow 48 hours for your initial profile and image to be processed. Future edits to your profile will update immediately. If it has been longer than 48 hours or your profile has already been approved and you still do not see your profile on the mosaic, please send an e-mail to christine.austin@asu.edu.
Having problems registering?
First time users need to register to the Virtual Mosaic using your e-mail address and creating a password.
Need help logging in?
If you are already registered, please login using your e-mail address and password you created when registering.
Forgot your password?
If you do not remember your password, click on "Forgot your password?" on the login page and a new password will be sent to the e-mail address you used to register. After you receive an e-mail with your new password, login to the Mosaic and click on "Change your password" on the Manage My Personal Information page. You can then reset your password to something you will remember.
Need help managing your profile?
After you login to the Mosaic, you will be taken to the Manage My Personal Information page. You may update and edit your profile there. Once you done click on "submit" at the bottom of the page.
Need help uploading an image?
After providing your profile information on the Manage My Personal Information page and clicking "submit," you will be directed to a page that will allow you to manage your photo: Manage My Image page.
A. If you are a first time visitor or you did not upload an image earlier your photo will be set to use your unit tile.
If you have a photo you would like to upload, click on "upload new photo". REMEMBER: The photo must be JPG, less than 2MB and the file name of the photo cannot include spaces or special characters: #, @, $, etc.
ALSO REMEMBER: You must turn off your pop-up blocker for the new screen to show up.
Click on "Browse" and find the image you want to upload on your personal computer. Once you choose an image you should see the path and name of image you chose in the "Browse" box. Click the "Upload!" button on the bottom of page to upload your image.
B. If you have uploaded an image previously, you will see following. If you want to upload a new image, you must first click on "remove" image BEFORE being able to upload a new image.
NOTE: To save changes, you must click "submit".
Need help cropping your image?
After you upload a photo, you will be taken back to the Manage My Image page. You should see the image that has been uploaded and instructions as to how to resize or crop the image. NOTE: The cropped and/or resized image is what will show up as your icon on the Connect the Dots portion of the mosaic. The entire image will still show in your profile, when someone click on your icon from the mosaic.
Choose the area to be cropped. You can also make the box larger or smaller.
Using the crop tool:
- Select an area of the image to retain (just the same as making a normal selection).
- When you release the mouse button, the area to be retained is highlighted. What is in your cropped area is what will show up as your icon.
- You can move or transform the cropped area by dragging the box or pulling the corners of the box in or out.
To add a caption, type the text in the text box below the photo.
NOTE: To save changes, you must click "submit".
Need help placing your icon on the mosaic?
Your icon will automatically show up on the first available box on the mosaic. If you would like to have your icon somewhere else on the mosaic, simply click on the square where you would like your icon to be placed. Your icon image will move to the new square you have selected.
